Grandma Oleson's Chocolate Cake (Mom)

½ cup +2 Tbsp crisco or butter

1 ½ cups sugar

2 eggs

¼ cup cocoa (mixed with hot water)

1 tsp soda (mixed with hot water)

¼ tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

1 ½ cups milk

2 ½ cups flour

Mix crisco with sugar. Add eggs. Add cocoa, soda, salt, and vanilla. Add flour and milk alternately. Beat mixture. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 for 30-35 min. Frost with fudge frosting
