Oatmeal Cake (Mom)

Pour: 1 ½ cups boiling water over 1 cup quick oatmeal. Set aside

Cream:

½ cup butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

Add:

cooled oatmeal mixture

Add:

1 ½ cups flour

1 tsp soda

½ tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

Pour into greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Just before taking cake from oven fix topping and spread onto hot cake.
