Candied Acorn Squash(Tami)

1 med. Acorn squash (1 lb.)

3tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp lemon juice or water

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon or nutmeg

Cut squash into 4 rings, discard the seeds. Arrange rings in a single layer in a 2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake, covered at 350’ for 40 minutes.

In a sauce pan combine brown sugar, butter, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Cook and stir until bubbly, spoon over squash. Bake uncovered, 10 minutes or until tender basting often.
